Which countries permit apostille?
Apostilled documents are recognized for a number of member countries of the Hague Convention.On October 5, 1961, a number of countries signed an agreement that canceled legalization of foreign official documents for the countries-participants of the Convention. Ukraine entered this convention on January 10, 2002. The convention also applies to documents that were issued on the territory of one of the countries. Today, 136 states and independent territories are among the countries of the Hague Convention, if we talk about Macau and Hong Kong:

Which departments affix the apostille in Ukraine?
The department affixing apostille depends on the type of document:
- apostille of documents in the Ministry of Justice: (birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, death certificates, name change certificate)
- apostille at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (apostille for police clearance certificate)
- apostille in the Ministry of Education (certificates, diplomas, extracts with grades)
