On October 5, 1961, a number of countries signed an agreement that canceled legalization of foreign official documents for the countries-participants of the Convention. Which departments affix the apostille in Ukraine?

The department affixing apostille depends on the type of document:

  • apostille of documents in the Ministry of Justice: (birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, death certificates, name change certificate)
  • apostille at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (apostille for police clearance certificate)
  • apostille in the Ministry of Education (certificates, diplomas, extracts with grades)
